“Through my sessions with Karen I found out so much about my true self. My life has transformed since I started working with Karen – professionally and personally. She has shared with me so many different tools for dealing with life challenges, she has guided me through challenging times and situations in a way that was so empowering and inspiring. Our sessions have helped me improve my wellbeing and understand my emotions and express them in a healthy way. I’ve also reached new levels of intuition and ability to do my own healing, and my spiritual life is starting to blossom (I guess I’m starting to blossom!). Karen’s positive attitude, knowledge and support have been priceless to my personal growth and development.”
Tsvetelina Minkovska (Lina)
“Before I started working with Karen I had let my work, and stress, get the better of me. I regularly felt ill and had little or no tolerance for challenge or conflict – my stress response was immediate, and unhealthy. Working through a six-month programme with Karen has been life-changing – both professionally and personally. Karen is an incredibly intuitive coach who has helped me to deal with my immediate challenges, but more importantly has also helped me to re-frame my whole attitude to work, and stress, and take control of how I am feeling. Our regular sessions have provided me with a cool-headed sounding board and a valuable reminder of the things that are most important at work and life in general. I now feel much more in control of my stress response, my attitude to work, and its associated challenges. My re-discovered positivity and drive is now clearly visible and is making a positive difference in my workplace.”
Business Leader, Christchurch
“We’re going through a pandemic and I’m in a better space than I was before it. I’m content and in a good space to support my staff which is important to me to be able to do. I’m really pleased.”
Alex Mitch, Owner, DPF Solutions
“Working with Karen has been transformational. The person I was when I first met her about a year ago was very timid, anxious and I had a really difficult time connecting with people as I spent so much time in my mind. I was nervous taking phone calls, going for a coffee with people, and just generally socialising which makes it extremely hard to make connections with people and feel safe. Karen did work with me that has now meant I am much more present, and I am actually experiencing life rather than being in my mind, I am so much happier, feel more confident, feel safe in my body and generally just feel 10x better. She is a really kind, caring and intuitive person, and the work she does is life changing. Thanks Karen!”

“Karen is amazing!! With her help I have learnt how to manage my stress levels both in my personal life and work life, and have been able to enjoy both a lot more. Karen’s techniques and lessons are very inspiring and helpful with her amazing knowledge. As soon as I met Karen I instantly felt more relaxed and able to focus and manage more efficiently. Thanks again Karen you really do work wonders.”
Lauren Daly, South Island Area Manager
“My coaching with Karen has given me more clarity about what I want to achieve, and how to communicate that to the team. My two hours a month is well worth the investment!”
Fred Soar, Managing Director, Soar Print
“I have been doing internal work for a long time but was not having much luck with traditional methods. I was tired of analysing the past and wanted to look instead towards the future. With Karen I have made leaping positive changes in weeks on issues that I had been carrying my whole life. My whole outlook is slowing changing and for the first time in life I am looking toward the future with enthusiasm and anticipation. Karen is the best investment in my future that I have ever made.”
Shana, Auckland
“Where I am now is chalk and cheese compared to where I was a year ago. I’m now far more solution focused and in control. It’s been interesting noticing our annual busy period doesn’t feel super busy, especially compared to last year, and now I’m in a far better position to deal with it.
I’m not taking everything on myself like I used to and I’m collectively bringing everyone along with me. It has been great! I feel as though my ability to deal with the stress of work and life, along with increased resilience, has made me a totally different person.
My ability to deal with the demands of the role has expanded exponentially. I’m ready for a new challenge now and want to keep challenging myself and learning and that’s largely down to this work we’ve done together.
I would also like to acknowledge the impact this coaching has had on my personal life. Me and Karen did a fair bit of unpacking, looking back on some of the experiences in my past that were shaping how I was behaving and seeing myself. I am now in a far better place in my personal life as well as my professional life.”
Pat Sharpe, Brewery Leader, Panhead Custom Ales
“I wanted to begin an online business and leave teaching. I also needed help dealing with a recent separation from my partner, sorting through finances. I was also solo parenting my teenagers, one of whom was very depressed and anxious. I now feel like I’m on purpose in the world and life is flowing. Karen is such an accepting person who moves your life forward in an enormous number of ways. Thank you for opening my eyes to my potential and restarting my life again.”
Melanie Medland
“Two days after Karen and I met, I headed into a 2-day leadership conference where I spoke to over 220 Gen-I managers. I’m happy to report I felt relaxed, present, authentic, and my presentation just flowed effortlessly. In just two coaching sessions Karen helped me create a stronger sense of peace to carry with me as I go about my work and life.”
Sally Mabelle, Leadership Speaker + Past President of NSANZ (Auckland Chapter)
“I’d like to take the opportunity to give you some feedback about how I am feeling in these tough times, and to be honest, I am feeling … great! It feels a bit wrong to admit that at the moment with so much suffering around the globe, but the work we did together last year has really helped me keep perspective on all the challenges that I am facing right now, and my stress levels are generally very low. I feel like I am being as productive as I possibly can be, and my frame of mind is helping me make good decisions (for me and for everyone around me) in the current situation.”
Peter Sewell, Director
“When I began I feared it would be awkward and I would not make the gains I have done. This didn’t happen and I continue to make progress. I wanted to change the internal ‘tapes/messages’ causing undue pressure. Now I feel confident, calm and have MUCH greater self-awareness. My communication skills have improved markedly. There is more clear thinking as a result and better decisions.
I’m most pleased with my communication, my sense of self and my ability to be calm when I need to model this for my team.
This work will change your life! Thank you, Karen. The work with you has taught me much and impacted me enormously. Talk soon.”
S.S., Auckland
“Ahhh, what a relief! After years of struggling with various issues around confidence and stress at work I spent a few sessions with Karen and it’s transformed both the results I get and the quality of life I lead.”
Nick, Product Manager, Auckland
“I wanted to become a better coach, improve my effectiveness, work well with other personalities, and how to manage my health and wellbeing better. I feel I have grown in all these areas and learnt new skillsets. I’ve learnt techniques to assist with everything from managing my day to handling difficult situations.
I’m working on the business more, rather than caught in the whirlwind. I’m making better progress and completion times with key tasks. I would say if you don’t have a life/business coach yet, you need to call Karen Ross.”
Peter Lloyd, Sales Manager, Soar Print
“The work Karen has done with me so far has helped me immensely. Firstly, I have broken through a bout of severe depression that I had been suffering for months. It is hard to describe how grateful I am to have found myself again.”
Rachel, Actress
I wanted to work on my self confidence and ability to deal with feedback – to believe the positive and objectively process the negative. Both are much improved. I also feel more aware of my reactions and thought patterns generally, and that my perception is not reality. This has been a great way to gain deep insight into what takes you forward and what holds you back. Thank you for a very worthwhile process.
K.S., Auckland
“I found the workshop to be extremely uplifting and insightful! It gave a different perspective on stress/pressures and ways to cope with them internally to minimise the impact. A very worthwhile course and would definitely recommend to others!
Mel Shaw, Senior Tax Consultant, KPMG
“It’s absolutely amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever gone ten days without feeling stressed and overwhelmed. And my boss has also noticed.
M. Hammond, Services Manager
“The programme has supported me tremendously at a time of a very large and fast change at work. Don’t under-estimate how much of an impact a programme and work like this can have on you, the direction of your business and what you think is possible. The blended nature and having it spread out over a few months has helped me to sustain change. The mix of practical do-able tools, as well as reflection and coaching, provides a balance between insights and skills. As well as a lot of practical and useful tools and processes, what I have gotten most out of the programme has been some large shifts through the coaching and workshop sessions, in ways I couldn’t have anticipated.”
Mark Carley, Owner, Hire Plants
“The combination of theory and practical exercises made the workshop session fun and interactive, with a measurable outcome. Very enjoyable.”
Peter Lamont, Telecom
I thought the content was very relevant for our staff and I was able to walk away with practical tools I could immediately implement to aid me in managing my state of mind and reduce stress in all aspects of my life. I felt that you were quick to gain the confidence and trust of the audience, and getting a room full of accountants to participate so fully is no easy task.”
Debra Ryan, HR Manager, BDO Auckland
“I was extremely impressed from two different perspectives … Karen’s presentation style was extremely engaging with a good combination of humour and professionalism. Secondly, her presentation content was interesting and gave me some extremely practical (and surprisingly simple) tools to take away with me.
Justina Knox, Botherway Legal
“I would like to offer my most sincere thanks to you for my ‘marathon’ breakthrough session last Tuesday. That was possibly the most valuable six hours of my life! I returned to fulltime work yesterday, and my colleagues just cannot believe the changes in me…”

Hail the Havaianas – A tale of growing FAST
Emma Bidois and Dane Winter were originally the sales agents for those fabulous summer fashion items, Havaianas jandals. After seven years of that they were then offered the opportunity to take on the import license and widen their business into both importing and distribution. Brazil called and they answered.
While they could see glimmers of possibility in the offer, they could also see lots of challenges. It felt like a quantum leap. But rather than turning around and running the other way, they leaned right into their fears and dealt with their concerns, both individually and as business partners, and the rest as they say is history.
The first mammoth task was to relocate the existing stock from the previous distributor in the Bay of Plenty to Auckland. They bought 70,000 units of stock (think 200 pallets!). Imagine entering every one of those into the inventory system.
In July 2014 the first shipment from Brazil arrived into their new 800 sq ft warehouse and they were gearing up for summer. They have a tight team of warehouse, sales and office staff that work to supply the whole of New Zealand. Their philosophy is about having fun and being professional, and it’s a winning combination.
Sometimes life throws a challenge which can be overwhelming. We were given such an opportunity six months ago; our business needed to grow very fast in a short time frame.
Karen gave us the tools to tackle this challenge head on and also help us to resolve our fears and obstacles to achieve what we needed to. Karen helped us shift out of our stress, and to see who we wanted around us – the kind of people who would help us make it happen – from warehouse staff to a new bank manager. We now have a fantastic team around us. We’ve grown our business by 300%, gone from four to twelve staff in under a year and the future is bright!
Stress keeps you from seeing what is important in life. Karen was able to strip this away so we were able to find a bit of calmness in this crazy and amazing place we call life.
Thank you Karen!”
Emma and Dane, Summer Supply Limited
They just keep getting better: Soar’s Awards in Print
Working with the team at Soar Printing over the past couple of years has been a real joy, and seeing their commitment to continuous improvement is too. In 2014 they received eight ‘Pride In Print’ gold awards – their biggest haul ever. Managing Director Fred Soar, says “success in the Pride In Print Awards is the best way to measure how we’re living up to our customers’ high quality expectations.” He adds, “we may have flash machinery, but the team who run our shop are all craftspeople. Thanks to them, blank paper comes in and amazing things go out.”
On top of that, Soar’s subsidiary, Rocket Print, collected two of the gold awards – one for stationery and another for digital label printing. Rocket recently invested in a state-of-the-art HP digital label press and is changing the face of New Zealand’s label printing market. It’s so great to see what progress can be made!
This year has been the most stress free I have ever experienced, and business is going well! It’s not just due the economic upturn, it’s the conscious alignment of our team to our goals, creating that higher level of engagement.
Our lean manufacturing program is now well entrenched and paying back dividends, the shop floor create great opportunities for improvement every week(OFI’s) ,our customer satisfaction is high and we are winning a lot of new business.
My coaching with Karen has given me more clarity about what I want to achieve, and how to communicate that to the team. My two hours a month is well worth the investment!”
