Guided Meditations
If we are busy, stressed or tired, it can feel tricky to easily unwind and quieten the mind. Guided meditations can be a great way to relax and rest. All you need to do is sit or lay down, be comfortable and listen. What could be easier?
Among other things, relaxation helps us slow down our breath and heart rate, and settle the nervous system. This supports good immune function, helps manage stress in the body, and can help us to mentally refresh.
A culmination of Karen’s work with mindfulness, Ericksonian hypnotherapy, NLP, yoga and her own spiritual journey, these guided meditations offer a simple way to relax, heal and nourish yourself.
These are best listened to in a quiet place where you can rest, and please do not listen to them whilst driving, walking in busy areas or operating any kind of machine. [Now digitally remastered.]
Breath Awareness Meditation
A great place to begin if you are new to meditation or want to refresh you practice, this simple mindfulness based meditation has particular emphasis on the gentleness with which we can bring to guiding our wandering mind back to the breath. In a classic mindfulness style, this track is inspired by the three steps in Professor Mark Williams’ Breathing Space meditation. Step 1 – Awareness of the body and what is. Step 2 – Focus on the breath in this moment. Step 3 – Expanding awareness back out to the whole body and the space around you. This meditation is both instructive and relaxing.
Whole Self Meditation
Many of us find ourselves caught up in our thinking mind or our emotional body, losing easy contact with all of the parts of us that can bring more peace and awareness to a situation or decision. This Whole Self meditation helps grow awareness of all the parts of you – your mind, body, heart and mind – and of all the intelligence’s at hand (not just the busy head-brain!). Relax into this healing and wise journey through your Whole Self.
Inner Stillness Lake Meditation
Discovering the deep inner stillness inside yourself is deeply important to finding peace, a way to relax and to cultivate your intuition. This meditation provides a gentle, nourishing journey across a pure mountain lake, touches on the balance between being present and mindful whilst have direction and purpose, and is beautifully restoring.
