I was once a stress junkie and I’m so grateful that I’m out of that cycle of stress and able to navigate these times in a much different way to what I would have done in the past. Many of my clients have said the same over the last several years. They continue to actively use their resilience strategies and are confidently rising to the challenges of the times.

I notice that if someone has been in chronic stress for a while (that is, stressed most days and most weeks) which is how I used to be, it’s not easy to face sudden or major challenges, and even when we’re through that, to look at the bigger picture of our life like business or career decisions or our spiritual development. We usually just don’t have the bandwidth because there is too much every-day stress. When you don’t have a base level of calm going on in your day, there’s no room for blue-sky thinking.
