As I arrived into November somewhat exhausted and on the eve of my 50th birthday, I found myself reflecting on the year I’ve had and the life I’ve lived so far. That might sound a bit deep, but it came with some cracking lightbulb moments!
I realised that without actually trying to, I’ve often taken ‘the path less travelled’ – though it’s all relative; I have friends who’ve been more intrepid than me. As a teen I went into modelling early, had an older boyfriend and a colourful social life, all while keeping up with schoolwork and setting up a fundraising club (an off-shoot of Zonta International).
I think I’ve shared before that I bailed out of university after two years until I figured out why I was meant to be there, and only then went back. In my mid-20s, when everyone else was getting jobs in the city or heading to London for their OE, I veered off and took an HR job in Slovakia for a big accounting firm. I ended up spending two years living there and travelling across Central and Eastern Europe with KPMG International. I loved visiting countries and cultures I may never have seen had I gone straight to London. Later, I worked in Brussels and then finally made it to London for a couple of years.
When we all eventually returned to New Zealand, most of my friends settled into family life and continued their careers. I retrained, set up my coaching practice, and kept consulting internationally for a few years, with trips to Belgium and even the Cayman Islands (by then I knew all the best shopping spots in Belgium!).
Nearly 20 years and thousands of coaching hours later, I find myself in another pivot – and on another less travelled path.
This one has been a tad more solo and rather intense because it has involved a huge amount of inner work, and no one can walk that part with you. It’s a solo journey, even when people are around you. I’ve definitely been kept on my toes. And yet it has been eye-opening, fascinating, deeply touching, nourishing, life affirming,
My coaching and healing work has become increasingly intuitive over the years, but over the past 2 ½ years my intuitive and psychic capabilities have been opening up more and more. I’ve finally figured out it’s an ongoing evolution, and who knows where it’s headed!
This year I’ve been connecting with higher guides and ascended masters such as Mother Mary and Mary Magdalene and receiving incredible guidance and teachings (more on that another time). Then earlier this year I was invited to have my Akashic Records read – a beautiful process that gives you a map of your soul’s history, gifts and higher nature.
I found it incredibly illuminating, clarifying and affirming. It answered questions I’d been walking around with for years and offered insight into my soul’s lineage, gifts and life lessons. It was profoundly impactful and became a key part of my recent journey of understanding who I really am and pivoting in my work (more on this soon too).
Diving into the Akashic
I felt so drawn to the work that I enrolled in training soon after to read the Akashic Records myself. Although I initially wondered what on earth I’d got myself into (let’s say it was very outside the box and a lot to learn!), several months and a number of readings later I’ve discovered it is a complete joy to read for someone and help them discover the architecture of their soul – their gifts, wisdom, and the lessons they’re working with in this lifetime.
It’s a profound experience for both of us, and I feel incredibly lucky to now be offering Akashic Records Readings.
Akashic Records Readings
The Akashic Records are a vast storehouse of information – an energetic archive (or what you might call soul-level cloud storage) containing past experiences, present dynamics, life lessons and soul gifts.
A reading gives you insight into the history of your soul, the lessons you’re here to learn, the trainings and gifts you bring forward, and how all of this influences who you are now. People often say, “Oh… that explains why I ____.”
It helps you understand yourself more fully than ever before.
It’s one of those things that creates a sense of ‘life before your Akashic reading… and life after your Akashic reading’.
Powerful. Life affirming. Unforgettable.
If you’d like to find out more, you can read about what an Akashic Records Reading looks like here.
I have openings from late January, and with Christmas on the doorstep, gift vouchers are available if you’d like one tucked into your stocking!
Feel free to reach out with any questions.
Follow your own breadcrumbs
What I really want to say is this: veering off the conventional path or entertaining what others might call ‘crazy ideas’ is often a sign you’re on the right track. These are the moments that I think lead us closer to who we really are – and into a life well lived.
I believe we’re born with our full essence and expression already present within us. Then life layers on expectations – the job, the house, the spouse, the kids, the whole ‘sensible life’ starter pack – but ultimately, everyone is walking their own path, in their own way.
You may have some of those things already, or you may want them, but what truly matters is how you experience your life – in a way that’s aligned with your own unique expression.
You will share similarities with others, but no one else carries your exact signature.
You’re truly a limited edition. 😉
And no matter what society, family or the media say about how you ‘should’ live, there is only one direction that will ever make sense – and that is your way. That might be hand-in-hand with someone else, with family or a whole community, but when it’s true for you, it’s your way.
That next move or decision that feels a bit edgy or audacious may well be the very thing that drops you more fully into your Self than ever before.
Those moments are the breadcrumbs leading us home – to Self.
The persistent voice in my head still wonders sometimes if people think I’m turning into a crack-pot with this new direction and all this talk of soul-level storage systems. So, I come back to stillness, back to my centre, and to what I know is true.
I still love a bit of 80s rock and swimming in the sea is one of my happy places, but there’s also this whole other world that’s part of my life too.
We are all multi-dimensional, multi-layered and ever expanding.
Life is one big invitation to be all that you are.
