You know that moment when you’re getting into your car to leave for work and you suddenly remember your laptop bag is still sitting on the dining room table? Or your gym bag is sitting on the bedroom floor? So you nip back inside, grab what you need and then head off to work.
Have you ever wondered where that little message came from? Was it your gut instinct? Was it your unconscious mind? Was it your higher self or soul keeping an eye on things and tapping you on the shoulder? Was it the Divine or God or Spirit – however you think about that – giving you a helping hand?
Could it be all of the above? Could it be that at different times, different levels of our intelligence will support us for life to be more easeful?
What if life can be smoother? Simpler?
Like, I mean, actually easy?
What if this kind of wisdom and support is always there for us?
I believe it is and every week that goes by I experience this more and more.
So … how come this week when I had numerous taps on the shoulder about something I didn’t pay attention? Yesterday it was to take my handbag with me to an appointment because it has my allergy eye-drops in it and I occasionally need them if I rub my eyes with a hand I’ve just patted the cat with.
I heard the tap clearly.
I thought “Oh no, I won’t bother. I’ll be fine.”
I get to my appointment – which was to have my make-up done for some new photography for my website – and my left eye starts to itch little bit and I ignore it. It gets itchier and so I rub it a bit with my ring finger to try to settle it down.
It doesn’t seem to be settling down. I explain to the make-up artist that I have allergies sometimes and that my eyes usually calm down.
Ten minutes later as she is finishing up the bronzer and blush she says – Do you think your eye is okay?
I look in the mirror and it’s not just that it’s slightly red inside the eye itself, it’s that the corner of my eye and under the eye is starting to puff up like a little red balloon. Not what you want when you’re about to have photos taken.
I immediately think of the eye-drops sitting in my handbag at home which are brilliant, work every time and I rarely not have with me – even though I might use them once or twice a month if that – because when I really need them they are a godsend.
I immediately realise that I did not honour my intuition or guidance.
And having had three or four experiences of this this week, I fully get that I will pay attention next time I get that little tap!
How come we don’t trust this?
How come I didn’t see that that moment of instinct that I should take my handbag or at least my eye-drops as some kind of divine wisdom or magical foresight?
I think it’s because we forget we are Divine. We forget that we are plugged into the intelligence of the universe. And we forget that we are very wise beings.
We forget we are Divine. We forget that we are plugged into the intelligence of the universe. And we forget that we are very wise beings.
So, the next time you get one of those little taps I hope you will remember two things:
You are Divine.
You are wise.
When you honour this Divine wisdom in yourself it will keep flowing to you like a beautiful river of abundance and ease.
I have experienced this many, many times, and I’ve taken this week’s ‘taps’ as a thorough reminder to let myself be in that flow every single day.
Oh, and what has allowed me so much expansion in my intuition?
Getting out of the stress cycle, connecting with Soul, and learning to live from that place of both inner and wider awareness on a daily basis.
And once you do that?
Life is never the same again – in the best possible way!
